OOPS!

Okay still figuring this blogging thing out - the photos should now be here somewhere.
Have patience I'll get it together soon. :)
Marc's favorite flower the "forget me not" they are really small and smell really good! Still lots of snow on the north sides of the mountains, you could probably still ski it.On one of these photos you see Keystone Ski Runs in the foreground and ski runs of Breckenridge in the background.

Independence Peak

On Saturday June 21st Marc and I hiked Independence Peak outside of Keystone Ski area.  It was a gorgeous day with no threat of storms. It was a 13 mile round trip hike with a bit over 3,000 elevation gain. Marc has been hiking alot in the a.m.'s, me not so much! I am still sore, especially walking down stairs.  There were a few old mine relics mid-way up and lots of high alpine critters for the boys to chase.

The winter that never seems to end!

I started these seeds at the end of April, hoping that I would get a good start on the season and maybe see some squash before the fall frost. Well now I can't seem to get them in the ground because it keeps snowing and freezing overnight. Marc built me a big 5x5 wood box to put my garden in outside and I am very excited to get some veggies going-maybe by July!

The snow photo was really taken on June 8th! It did melt by the end of the day, but the temps stayed in the 50's all day. This is the view off the back deck of our house with the elementary school in the background.

Hello

Okay everybody bear with me as I try to navigate and set up this blog site. I have been egged on by my brother to get one of these things going so here it goes. I really enjoy reading his and keeping up with my cousins blog sites as well, so maybe someone out there is actually interested in what Marc and I are doing.
