UPDATES
Finally updated blog. Did a lot of great things over the spring, but didn't get it all on camera. Marc and I just did a bike tour of Colorado and had to update with some beautiful pictures. The seven day trip was a little too long with a little too many people. I am glad I did it, but don't think I could be that close with that many people again! Will post soon with updates on the gigantic garden!!
BICYCLE TOUR OF COLORADO
JUNE 21ST THRU JUNE 27TH
DAY ONE: GLENWOOD SPRINGS TO HOTCHKISS-82 MILES
Barry and Marc in the beginning.
At the base of the pass, one of the State Patrol that came along and kept us in line. Barry trying not to get into trouble. They were all really nice and were with us the whole trip.
This was in Crawford. Kinda cool contrast in ways of transportation.
Camping at the Hotchkiss K-8 school.
This was actually one of the spacious camping areas, tents got closer in some other towns.
DAY TWO: HOTCHKISS TO GRAND JUNCTION-95MI.
One of the many beautiful lakes seen on top of the Grand Mesa.
The water bar, where everyone filled up water bottles.
This crazy guy did the whole thing on a Schwinn 3 speed Sting Ray! Some interesting characters at this ride.
DAY THREE: GRAND JUNCTION TO MONTROSE-65Mi.
When we are in Grand Junction Marc and I like to stop at this great breakfast place our friend Doug took us too. We had breakfast there and finally got to meet Lois! Had a great breakfast before a long boring ride to Montrose.
Marc just wanting to ride. Waiting at another aid station.
One of the volunteers was riding this thing all over, pretty cool purple.
Not many pictures of the ride because the scenery was just so boring!!! Hwy 50 all the way.
DAY FOUR MONTROSE TO CRESTED BUTTE-87Mi.
This was a congested road and steep!
Rumble strips on the side of the road made it hard for all the people to pass me.
We stayed at our friend Suzy's for two nights and it was great! We were away from town a bit and therefore away from the hordes of people on this tour. It was a nice day off with a massage and a hot tub.
Barry, Kate, Marc and Suzy on the way to a Mexican Feast(margaritas included)
Cool long morning shadow. I took this while riding too.

Going into Taylor Canyon.
Taylor River
Taylor Resevoir with clouds hanging around.

Barry and Kate at Aid station
Barry, Kate and Marc riding the dirt road behind me. I took this picture over my head.
DAY SEVEN: "LAST DAY" BUENA VISTA TO GLENWOOD SPRINGS 105Mi.
Twin Lakes on the way up Independence Pass
