UPDATES

Finally updated blog. Did a lot of great things over the spring, but didn't get it all on camera. Marc and I just did a bike tour of Colorado and had to update with some beautiful pictures. The seven day trip was a little too long with a little too many people. I am glad I did it, but don't think I could be that close with that many people again! Will post soon with updates on the gigantic garden!!

JUNE 21ST THRU JUNE 27TH

DAY ONE: GLENWOOD SPRINGS TO HOTCHKISS-82 MILES

Pretty waterfall. I took all the opportunities to stop going up McClure Pass!

At the base of the pass, one of the State Patrol that came along and kept us in line. Barry trying not to get into trouble. They were all really nice and were with us the whole trip.

Hard to see this but it is of two or three people on horses trying to get the cattle across the river. Straight out of a western movie!

DAY TWO: HOTCHKISS TO GRAND JUNCTION-95MI.

DAY THREE: GRAND JUNCTION TO MONTROSE-65Mi.

When we are in Grand Junction Marc and I like to stop at this great breakfast place our friend Doug took us too. We had breakfast there and finally got to meet Lois! Had a great breakfast before a long boring ride to Montrose.

DAY FOUR MONTROSE TO CRESTED BUTTE-87Mi.

Rumble strips on the side of the road made it hard for all the people to pass me. 

My good luck, be happy butterfly-I really needed her at this point in the game. She matched my bike too!

DAY FIVE: OFF DAY IN CRESTED BUTTE-YIPPPEEE

We stayed at our friend Suzy's for two nights and it was great! We were away from town a bit and therefore away from the hordes of people on this tour. It was a nice day off with a massage and a hot tub.

DAY SIX: CRESTED BUTTE TO BUENA VISTA 73Mi.

Going Down!!! My favorite part. I hit my highest speed coming down this pass. 55mph!! I have a photo somewhere of it, but again things are not in great sequence.

Beryl would be near the top of every pass and cheer everybody on!! close to 2,000 people. I had to get my picture with her, she really helped my attitude and got me to the top, alot!
