Mt. Evans 7/24/09

Mom and Dad came out in July for a visit. We did a 14'er, which is a 14,000ft peak. This one was Mt. Evans. It had a little advantage of a drive up most of the way. You still had to climb a rocky trail at that elevation and decreased air.

August 2009

This was a very steep hike we did in August. There was hardly a trail and we just hiked straight up it.
STEEP!
I thought there was some really cool looking downed wood. This one was burned a long time ago.

Dodger Dog!
My new kicks! They are red and bright but they were great on their maiden voyage-no blisters!
Ten Mile Range in the background-more cool wood.
Dodger and Loki both had their heads in the wood stump holes. It was hilarious!
